  • If I'm to choose one of the ski pass holders, I'll choose the arm band because it's the most reliable for me. The Goggle strap may not be completely secure enough. But I've gone skiing before and all the times, I used the arm band. Hopefully one day, I'll try some other like the GOVO ski pass holder.

    • Hi Dhayours, so glad to hear you like the Armband Ski Pass Holder.  I cannot use it because my arm and wrist is to small but I have male friends who swear by them, just like you. They are a super innovative way to keep your ski pass close to you without it getting in the way and the fact that it has an extra pocket for additional credit cards, keys or cash is an added plus. The Goggle Strap ski pass holder is very secure but a lot of people have your same concern, so I understand.

  • Love the Goggle Strap Ski Pass Keeper, so cool. I'm always afraid of losing my pass, so this will come in handy.
I like how you can attach it to your helmet, it's completely hands-free as I just saw on the video.

Would you happen to know if its reliable as in sturdy enough so that it doesn't fall off easily?
If not then I think I'll go with the wallet and lanyard, and the head attachments for the kids I think.

    • Hi Joe,

Thanks for the comment yes the Liftie Ski Goggle Ski Pass Holder is really cool and super easy to use.  It is reliable and attaches by two large pieces of hard plastic that are part of the liftie so no chance of it coming off by mistake.  It is on there.  This is the preferred method for kids because they can't really take it off and lose it like with a lanyard or any type of clip. Once it's on their helmet they pretty much forget about it for the entire season.  Very little chance of them losing their ski pass or lift ticket or leaving it somewhere by mistake.

  • I’ve used the Liftie but it didn’t work well for my pass (Ikon) because the edges covered the barcode, so I had to take out the pass every time one of the lift attendants needed to scan my pass (which was every run at Tremblant). I also didn’t feel that it was very secure. The pass slides in from the end, and I would occasionally notice that it was starting g to slide out a bit. Just an honest review. Needless to say I’m in the market for a new pass holder.

    • Hi Geraffi, Thanks so much for sharing your experience of using the Liftie Ski Pass Holder. It sounds like your IKON pass is not RFID equipped which allows hands free access at the lifts. RFID passes have a built in antenna so the scanner picks up the frequency in the area of the passholder but does not need to scan the pass specifically like they had to do with yours.

Ikon has several resorts with RFID but it seems Mont Tremblant in Canada is not one of them. You may want to try the Goggle Strap Ski Pass Holder which is a lot like the Liftie but with a smaller frame so your bar code might not be covered like it was with the Liftie. Also the ski pass should be secure in the holder but you could always add a rubber band or thin ziptie around the holder for extra security if you still feel hesitant that it might come out.
