The Vail Skate Park, officially known as the Zeke M. Pierce Skatepark is open every day during the summer months from dawn to 11pm, weather permitting. It is closed throughout the winter.
This unique facility is integrated into a long narrow area of the Lionshead parking structure. The innovative design utilizes an existing, challenging space that is 25 feet wide, but more than 230 feet long. In the end, this configuration was perfect for creating a no-push street course with lots of flow.
The park includes features for all ages and abilities such as a variety of street and transition style elements, a signature “vert” feature, mini-bowl and full-size halfpipe.
Managed by the Vail Recreation District, this is the latest addition to the Vail valley skate scene and a place were kids can have fun and be challenged.
The skate park offers skateboard clinics from 10am-noon every Tuesday and kids aged seven to 14 can join. Private lessons are also available. Helmets are required for all riders. Knee pads and wrist guards are recommended.
