  • Great post about ranch weddings in Colorado.  We got married in Alaska and it was magical, but we are now planning on renewing our vows in Vail.  We are going to have dinner and a small ceremony at Beano's Cabin and I can't wait!  I definitely want to look the part, so am looking for a cute cowgirl dress, boots and a hat!  we will be riding horses up to the cabin so I don't want anything too nice as it may get ruined on the ride up and back down.

    • What a fantastic idea Carmen, that sounds so romantic. You will love Beano's, it is an amazing setting, especially in the summer and if you like horses, there is no better way to travel, than by horseback. For a cute, affordable dress check out the post 10 Perfect Cowgirl Wedding Dresses and for really cool wedding boots read the post Wedding Cowboy Boots for WomenHope this information helps you find everything you need and that you have a wonderful celebration!

  • Thank you for the review of finding the perfect ranch wedding in Colorado. I'm getting married next June. This would be right up my future bride's ally. I will bookmark your site to show her. The Bearcat cabin looks like it would be a perfect spot for me. But we all know the guy is not who the wedding is for lol. Thanks for the post I will be looking more into it.

    • Hi Geoffrey, Congratulations! and I am so glad you found the information about ranch weddings in Colorado useful.  Bearcat Cabin is a wonderful venue for a wedding.  If you like horses and rustic ranch elements, this place would be perfect.  I attended a full-on western themed wedding here and it was just incredible. Ranch wedding can just be so splendid. Thank you for bookmarking the page.

  • Thanks for the post on finding your perfect ranch wedding in Colorado. My son and his fiance are planning to go do something really different for their wedding and they both love the outdoors and looking through this post I can see both of them on arriving to their ceremony on horseback laughing and having the best day.

They are planning on having a destination wedding and this definitely fits the bill. Will send Ash this link and thank you so much for inspiring people to do something really cool when they get married.

    • Hi Vicki, so glad you liked the article about ranch weddings in Colorado. I suggest you should have your son check out Black Mountain Ranch for their wedding.  They rent the entire place for the week and you can do anything want, you can customize the weeks schedule.  That way they wedding couple can also have a little bit of a honeymoon if they want. The majority of guests could stay 3-4 days and the immediate family could stay the entire week.  This would also insure that they could ride into their ceremony on horseback and really enjoy their destination wedding.Another good choice like this is Vista Verde Dude Ranch near Steamboat, CO.

  • Your post is so timely, I am planning a wedding in the Vail area for next summer.  My husband and I met as wranglers at a dude ranch so I just love all of these ranch ideas!  I am thinking of Piney River Ranch but I am concerned it is too rustic. Which is your favorite venue?

    • Hi, yes with your history, it sounds like a ranch wedding is right up your alley.  Piney River Ranch is incredible and if your wedding falls on a beautiful sunny day, there is no finer place for a wedding. However, I have been to a Piney Ranch wedding when it was rainy and although it is still beautiful it can be much more demanding, as there is not one big building that you can all go into to get out of the rain and have your ceremony. The restaurant is a little tight for a crowd. Although there were tents being used at the wedding I attended, it was still a little harder than other venues.   Also you are 12 miles up a dirt road and it will take you at least 30 minutes to get back to town to change if anyone gets wet or muddy. I would definitely recommend at least bringing boots because if it does rain, it gets hard to walk around in that terrain in high heels

  • Nice! ... I really enjoyed the way you outlined finding the perfect ranch wedding in Colorado. Though I have been to weddings in many of the venues on your list, one of my favorites is Brush Creek Pavilion located at Eagle. I have been to two weddings here and both were fantastic.  Love the rustic ranch details, the big grassy outdoor lawn area, big floor to ceiling doors that open up with pretty views. This is a great location for a beautiful, more casual wedding.
